Our Neighborhood

Known for its pleasant surroundings, good neighbors, beautiful common areas with ponds, fountains, and wildlife, and frequent social events, Longhill Gate is a wonderful place to call home!
Our community amenities include a pool, clubhouse, tennis/pickle ball courts, and a children’s playground.
This is all part of a well-managed community established in 1985 led by a 7 person Board of Directors which are elected by the owners of the community. The Association is fiscally sound with a reserve study and capital reserve fund; there has not been a special assessment in the history of the community.

We will gather for our annual Chrismas Dinner at 5:30PM on December 11, 2025 at Anna's on Richmond Road.

Governing Documents

The governing documents outline the rules and regulations for the residents and tenants whom own/live in Longhill Gate. These documents include the Articles of Incorporation, Declaration of Covenants, By-laws, Rules and Regulations. The lot you purchased/leased is in a development which is subject to the provisions of the Virginia Property Owners’ Association Act. Owning a home in a community association carries with it certain rights, responsibilities and benefits.
Some of the benefits include the right to use the common areas, which may include swimming pools, parks, playgrounds, and other recreational facilities. In order to finance the operation of the community, each owner is responsible for and obligated to pay regular assessments, and if necessary, special assessments to ensure that the financial requirements are met. Failure to pay any of these assessments may result in a lien being placed upon the property.
Some decisions of your association will be made by the Board of Directors, while others will be made by a vote of all the association members, made up of the other lot owners in the development. You will be bound by all decisions of the lot owners and the Board of Directors. The documents cited below contain information concerning the selection of members of the Board of Directors, meetings, voting requirements, and other important information you must have.
You may wish to become active in your association, either by running for the Board of Directors (if an owner) or by serving on a committee. Your involvement is important as we strive to work together to improve our community.
